Tulsa has mountains and hills. There is also a project called Tulsa Hills (shopping) project that according to our sources is about 140 acres along the East side of Highway 75 between 71 Street and 81 Street with almost sixty million construction cost. The shopping center may have up to a million square feet of space when completed in late 2007.
The Tulsa City Council approved the Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) to offer an incentive to the developer by providing tax relief, for infastucture such as streets, water & sewer. ( Approved Thurdsay night 3/16/2006 for retail development.)
For comparison Tulsa’s Woodland Hills Mall is 1.2 million square feet.
